Should you start a new account on Instagram?

Sometimes it seems like there are so many strategies and changes on Instagram.

So when people have new takes on it and how they are able to do it, it makes you wonder should you delete it or start something new?

How do people who have had Instagram for so long stay relevant when there is a “new way” of doing it?

There’s a common misconception that if you have had your account for a long time that your reach gets suppressed or that you don’t get shown to new accounts.

But what actually ends up happening is that your audience gets used to your content.

As somebody who is so good at coming up with strategies for other people and constantly evaluating things in the app that actually moves the needle…when it comes to my own Instagram, I get stuck doing the same things.

And if I’m guilty of it, I know you are too.

I’m currently working with Pampers to set their Instagram strategy (yup the massive baby corporation) and I recently presented to their head of innovation.

Talk about nerves!

But after I presented, do you know what he said?

And I told him the same thing I’m telling you…

Something that I’ve noticed over time, especially over the last 2 years, is that audiences are fatiguing.

They’re tired.

They’re not interested in the same things that they used to and they are looking to be entertained.

If you can think about looking at your account as an outsider looking in, my advice is to take a look at your account and conduct an audit of sorts.

Think about creating totally new content, focusing on brand new topics and approach them with a different angle than what you’ve traditionally been doing.

That is the formula for creating new content that attracts new users.

I have a 9 Step Audit Method that I run every client through.

Once you know the 9 areas to look at (I bet you’ve never looked at some) you’ll be able to refresh your content whenever you notice that things are starting to slow down for you.

I will be covering my 9 Step Audit in tomorrow’s office hours inside The Social Department.

And I promise this isn’t just “change your profile picture to a smiling face of you”.

We’ll go over the nine areas you need to look at regularly and how to do it strategically.

Strategically just means as part of a plan that will help you reach your goals.

So if you’ve been waiting for the right time to join the membership tomorrow would be a great day to start. We meet at 12pm EST and the replay will be posted same day.

We’ll go over the 9 steps you need to Audit your account and you’ll get your one sheet PDF to keep so you can always stay on top of it.

It’s so handy to revisit (even for me!)

At the end of my presentation, you’ll have the chance to ask me your questions.

So what do you think?

The call tomorrow alone is worth the price of your monthly fee.
