I took a mental health day today.
I didn’t quite understand why I started to feel extremely low after coming off of a very successful open cart that exceeded my expectations and showed me that I really do know what I’m talking about.
I’m telling you, I have my moments of doubt too.
But this morning it hit me like a ton of bricks… you know that dark and down feeling…
There was no reason for it either…
So instead of worrying and wallowing in it, I decided to take a mental health day.
After clearing my calendar, I went to tennis with Max and then spent my afternoon with my aunt and uncle. After that, we all came back to our apartment, cooked dinner together, ate our first pan de muertos, bathed the kids and facetimed my mom in Vancouver.
It was exactly what I needed.
This month is going to be jam-packed once again with my cousin’s wedding in Oaxaca and my very first PAID in-person speaking event!
When one of my very first client’s Shannon Desouza reached out to me this summer and asked me to submit my pitch for her event for travel professionals I didn’t hesitate! Shannon is the founder of The Insta Key Ai and founder of the Aurea Goddess Festival.
I’ll be heading to Cancun on October 21st to teach an interactive workshop to The Travel Agent Collective at Altitude for modern travel advisors.
I’ll be co-hosting a breakfast and hot seat coaching as well as a short form video workshop!
My approach is going to focus on helping attendees talk about what they do without sounding like all the other realtors out there. My method will make it easy for real estate professionals to speak with authority and convert
curiosity into clients without relying on viral trends or daily posting.
I know that they’ll leave excited and with new ideas to get going right away!
One of my SD Clients asked me recently how to land more paid speaking engagements. I told her it starts by posting yourself speaking, doing unpaid work and letting people know that you speak!
What also helped me a lot was adding a speakers page (like this) to my website, and adding testimonials from previous events.
You have so much to offer and such a unique way of explaining things that you shouldn’t let your “inexperience” hold you back! You’ve got this!
And if you’re looking for a speaker for your next event let me know!

WORTH THE SKIM:
– I’d be remiss not to mention Taylor Swift’s new album and the wave of conversation surrounding it. You’ll see it woven into countless marketing campaigns over the next few weeks. Reviews have been mixed, with some calling it her most out-of-touch album yet. Someone on Threads said something that really stuck with me: people are (finally) realizing that Taylor isn’t relatable anymore because she’s a white billionaire who no longer represents the average American woman.
And honestly… that hit.
– Instagram has a new “Ring Award” for top Creators. Meta says it will award a gold ring to creators who “shift culture and break barriers”. Celebrity judges but no cash prizess… womp womp. The Reelies are better IMO!
DECEMBER MASTERMIND
I’m coming back to Vancouver this winter for an intimate Mastermind evening designed for entrepreneurs, creators, and small business owners ready to plan their biggest year yet.
This isn’t your typical networking mixer! This is a 2026 Planning Session disguised as a night out.
Expect a new location, fresh faces, and a curated mastermind experience.
I’ll share the exact strategies and insights I used to scale my business to 7 figures online, and guide you through mapping out your own 2026 plan.
All over bites, conversation, and big ideas (and yes, you’ll walk away with real work done).
Seats are limited, and the waitlist gets first access.
